Are your crane assets secure?
All our inspections are carried out by fully qualified engineers and crane technicians. At the completion of an inspection we provide you with an electronic report of our findings and a list of remedial work (if required).
3rd Party Crane Audit
The latest edition of AS2550.1 “Cranes, hoists and winches – Safe use” requires that all cranes are subject to a 3rd party audit annually.
Our 3rd party audit process ensures any crane management, safety and compliance issues are identified and resolved. We work with you to ensure the intent of the standard and regulatory requirements are met in the most efficient manner possible. In accordance with AS2550.1 we cover the following areas as part of our Third Party Inspection:
- Crane Duty (Design Working Period) assessment.
- Review of crane maintenance/inspection procedures and reports.
- Physical inspection of electrical, mechanical and structural components.
- Functional testing of crane.
AS2550.1 requires a Major Inspection when the crane duty has reached the end of its design life, or where no crane history exists after 7 years. The design life is nominally for 10 years (crane mechanisms) and 25 years (crane structure), however this is dependent on the crane usage and may be greater or less than this time.
ideas* cranes streamlined Major Assessment Review process ensures this is conducted cost effectively while fulfilling all crane standard and regulatory requirements, and provides (if required) a practical and straightforward list of remedial actions to ensure compliance. In most cases it is possible to recertify the crane for an additional 10 and 25 years.
The outcome of this process is an inspection and design review report certified by one of our qualified engineers. Leaving you with peace of mind that your crane meets all WorkSafe requirements, and optimising the life of your asset.
